PRIYA PRANIGALE EE NAMMA RATNA THEATRE NENAPIDEYA???

i remember one incident when we were in star kuddus building.. i went was alone in the room all other pranis had gone home.. i guess. so i thought i will go for a movie and before that i had to cook rice set the cooker on the stove and forgot about it and went to watch the movie. came back late night..

when i reached the room.. the cooker had blown and the rice was all over the ceiling.. i had a hard time trying to clean it up later...

but that was one good memory of the day.

and also we went to watch ghost ship at sterling we sat in the front row.. remember we were the only one's in the whole theatre and i rememmber kunda nearly jumped out of his seat when i tapped him in the shoulder during a horror scene...

ನಮ್ "ಕಜಿಪು" ಗಣೇಶ್ ನ ಇಂಟ್ರೆಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಕತೆ ಕೇಳಿ! ’ಕಜಿಪು’ ನಾಮಧೇಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ ಹೇಗೆ ಅಂತ ಆಗಲೇ ನಮ್ ಕೋಳಿ ವರ್ಣಿಸಿ ಆಗಿದೆ :)
ನ್ಯೂ ಇಯರ್, ಬರ್ತ್ ಡೆ, ಆ-ಡೆ, ಈ-ಡೆ ಅಂತೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರಣ ಇಲ್ದೆ ಕಾರಣ ಹುಡ್ಕಿ ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ ದೇವ್ರಂತ ಮನೆ ಓನರ್ ಗೆ ಕಾಟ ಕೊಟ್ಟು (ಅವರ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದು), ಪಕ್ಕದ್ಮನೆ ಮಾರ್ವಾಡಿ ಹುಡ್ಗಿಗೂ ನಿದ್ದೆನೂ ಕೊಡದೆ ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಎಂಜಾಯ್ ಮಾಡೊದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಖುಷಿ ವಿಷ್ಯ. ಹೀಗೆ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಪಾರ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡ್ತ ಮಾಡ್ತ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪನೆ ಏರ್ಸ್ತಾ ಏರಿಸ್ತಾ, ಹಾಡ್ ಕೇಳ್ತಾ, ಕುಣಿತಾ ಇರ‍ೋವಾಗ ನಮ್ ಕಜಿಪುಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಜೋಶ್ ಬಂದು ಯಾವ್ದೊ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ನೋಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನಿಸಿ ಬಿಡ್ತು. ಸರಿ ಇನ್ನೇನು, ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಒಪನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಮ್ ಕಜಿಪು (ಯಾವ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಅಂತ ಬೇಡ ಈಗ!).

ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಓಪನ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಮೀಡಿಯಾ ಪ್ಲೇಯರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ. ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಚ್ರೀನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಡೊಕೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಷ್ಟ ಅಲ್ವಾ..ಸೊ ಫುಲ್ ಸ್ಕ್ರೀನ್ ಮಾಡೊ ಅಂತ ಅಂದ್ರು ಯಾರೋ! ಇಂಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಇರೋದು ಇಲ್ಲೆ!! ನಮ್ ಕಜಿಪು ಒಂದು ಬೆರಳಲ್ಲಿ ALT ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ, ಆಮೇಲೆ ENTER ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡೊಕೆ ಟ್ರೈ ಮಾಡಿದ. ಉಹ್ನ್ ಫುಲ್ ಸ್ಕ್ರೀನ್ ಆಗ್ಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲಾ. ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದೇ ರಿಪೀಟ್, ಒಮ್ಮೆ ALT.., ಇನ್ನೇನು ENTER ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೊವಾಗ್ಲೆ ALT ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬೆರಳಿಗೆ energy (!) ಸಾಕಾಗ್ತಾನೆ ಇರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲಾ key hold ಮಾಡೊಕೆ. Koli Aka Kunda aka GS aka Ananda

Name

Ananda

The Koli, Party person, Comedian, Guy from Maravanthe a small village about an 18 KM from Kundapura Taluk, Udupi District. He studied Information Science and Engg which is the first batch of NIE college. He is also the nick namer of all other group members.
The name koli is given by chimps and thola. He would not sleep during exam time and give a weired sound of koli (Chicken) in the early morning. Thus he has given koli as his nick name. Well, he has been calling with different nick names through out his engg career.
He never says no to anybody if some one calls him for party. Well he does not even care if its internal or exam time. He would love to organise party and the 2003 new year party was a super success which was lead by him. He has loads of friend from all branches and batches.

Thola Aka Pammy Aka Pramod Patgar
Thola, creative head of our group and famous icon of our college due to his marvelous paintings. This guy came from Nanikatta a small village in Kumata Taluk, Uttara Kannada District. He was studying Mechanical Engg which is also called as Royal Mech by all the students of NIE college.
He has been named as thola becasue of his weired make up sound during his happy time.
He was very shy in the begining. He used take his mother's name during our daily routine discussions. After longlasting tease from other group members he had to stop that habit. All group members would eagerly wait for this man if he goes to his hometown. Because he would bring loads of food items from home and he would love to give it to all with lots of love and rememebr he takes his mothers name there too. This is the reason pammy's mother is famous in our group. Namma thayiyavaru heliddare bike ella bidbeda antha.. Adake baddi maga innu bike thagondilla...
Lets talk about his talent. Pammy the great painter. He was known to everybody in the college becasue of his wonderful painting. He would win all the competions and bring lots of joy and makes his group real proud. We all are proud to say that pammy is our friend.

The Mowgli aka Manga aka Vicky aka Vikranth Kumar

The mowgli, tension free man, kiddish , guy from namma kudla (Mangalore). He studied Mechanical engg and class mate of pammy, handi and pakya.
He has been named as manga because of lots of similar behaviour of monkey. We should proud about him that he still remembers our ancestors.
Vicky was room mate of Handi in the star building and thus becamse introduced rest of group members. We have not seen him taking tension for any of the reasons. You talk about any topic in the world, vicky knows abt it. I would say vicky his knowledgebase of our group. He would die for kudla. If anyone comes to him and say I am from Kudla he would die for them.

The Chimps aka chimpu aka Ravindra

The chimps, sports person, another proud member of our group. He is from Koli's place. Koli and he studied together from their 1st standard to graduation.

He has been named as Chimps becasue of his small and attractive eyes.
Ravi was volleyball captain during his final year of engg. He was one of the main player of NIE volleyball team. One would love to watch his smash in the game.

He needs pate (hotte or stomach) pooja on time otherwise he would show his anger on other group members. Vicky and Ravi would fight during Vicky's turn of cooking. Because Vicky hate to cook and do it very late. Our chimps cant take this and he would take a call with Vicky and their fight is fun to

watch for all other group members.

Handi Aka Roshan D'Souza

The Handi, Topper, disciplinal, Roshan D'Souza guy from Kinnigoli a small village in Mangalore. He is class mate of Pammy, Vicky and Pakya. Roshan has neen named as handi because of his motuness.

Roshan was a topper, distinction student of our group. He was not wasting his time during his early years in engg. He became more social during his final two years. One wont forget the idly and pork curry which he used to bring from his native. He would not forget to make prayer and visit Church any of his and our busy schedule. Our owner Auntys favorite person from the group and he is like Sri krishna between Aunty and our group. He discovered

a unique way of preparing chicken curry and the taste of that was awsome. It still brings water on my mouth.

Tha Kappe Aka Anup Nambiar

The Kappe, brainy, joy rider of our group. He is from Puttur and did his Electrionics and Communication from NIE. Because of his talkative nature he has been named as Kappe. He was room mate of another brainy and creative member of our group (Onte).
Initially Anup was staying near Kuber hotel and later he moved to Aunty building. Anup is one of the lovable guy of our group due to his height and non stop talking. He was a big chicken eater. His behaviour can be matched to our manga to some extent. Because of his health problems he had to stop one of his year and we missed him lot during that time. His PC's hard disk contains full of dingchaks and he would love to collect it from his bunch of buddies. Nagraj (Junior Kashinath) would make regular visit to his room and investigate his PC and would check for latest updates. I would say Kappe's wife will be be a lucky girl and I wish he should soon get his dream girl.

Onte aka Murali Krishna A R
The Onte, one more creative head of our group. He is from puttur and was room mate of Kappe in Aunty building. He did his Mechanical Engg and was in a different section of Mech along with our Junior Kashinath, Nagaraj.
The name onte came to him because of his less consumption of water. He is nature lover, has lof of knowledge on Yoga, Ayurveda and spirituality. He is also great devotee of Sri Puttta parti saibaba. Onte is very disciplined, witty and little angry person. He is the only vegetarian in our group and give free advice on lot of the things including being vegetarian. He has good writing skills in English and would help everybody in that specialy Prakash. Onte wont miss any of the classes and try to be obedient to all his lecturers. He tries to engage himself in studying.

Pakya aka Prakash
The Pakya, Struggler, another dying fan of Namma Kudla is from Katipalla, Suratkal (Mangalore). He was class mate of Vicky, Thola and Roshan.
He is always worried about his engg career due to his problems back home and would give lot of philoshopy to all the group members. Before he came to engg he was doing diploma and for better career perspective he discontinued it and came to NIE royal Mech. From the day one he put himself in study and was not interested in mingling with the people though he was in college hostel. He had lot of reasons behind that. Well later everything got changed. If he finds any girl who is from kudla he would love to introduce himself and make good friendship with them. Well his intention is always appreciated. He has very good helping nature and if someone goes to him and ask for any help he would love to help them out. I would love to watch when he sangs hymn after his pooja to God. He is also called as poojari (one who makes pooja to God and not Jaati poojari thats me :) ). He was the one who takes lot of tension during exam and internals.

The Chikkotte aka Shivranjan G
Shivranjan G, brainy, intelli, logician, guy from namma bengaluru and very simple and down to earth person. He was class mate of Koli and Chimps. He got introduced to other group members thru Koli and Chimps. This guy was very simple not show his intelligence to anybody only show during his exams. He was not came to limelight during his early engg. But he got into picture later his engg years. He is also good writer both in Kannada and English and I would say which started with true inspiration from other branch of our batch. He would love to come to our room and eat our boiled rice, unlike other non canara people.

Magu Aka Avinash
Avinash, guy from Namma kudla (Mangalore) did his Mechanical Engg along with other group members. This guy is very simple and innocent guy. One would love to watch him get anger and say entha saava .... Most of our group members learnt bike driving from his Kawasaki. Scary part was when Ravi drove his bike down Star building and he got hit to kuddus palace. He was little back in studies but would try to spend his time in studying with other brains of group. He was staying in his aunty's place and would spend lot of time with paradise pranisangha. I never heard no from him when someone asks for his bike.

Kajipu Aka Specimen Aka Ganesh Kulal
Specimen, from bantwal taluk in South canara district. Kajipu name came to him because he used to ask for side dish during lunch and dineer. Even during our bad time (when there is no money with anybody). His favorite dialogues are kajipu dada (whats there for side dish) and kasunda ( do you have money ?)... This guy was very lazy and would not mind to skip his exam and internals. He would keep him busy in fixing his computer and other his inventions related to PC. I am sure he was the one used to get lots of smutty and philosophy from his group members and would not mind to listen to it. Its very good to know that he is doing good these days.

Kulla aka Factory Aka Ananda R
Kulla, a very sweat, witty, local boy studied along with Koli, Chimps, Shiv. He is originally from Padubidri a small town in Udupi district. This guy was very sweat and down to earth person. One would love to have him in any party. He tries to keep the team in true spirit and very good logician also. The best part of Kulla is not taking anything to serious. He would love to invite all of us to his home and we had great food in his home also. Another best part of him is he would not feel bad for anybody.

Praku Aka Rajni Aka Prasanna Kumar
Praku, pyari, favorite of everybody. He is from Malur and was staying in his uncle's place in mysore. He was also class mate of Chimps and Koli. One would love to listen praku when he is talking and catch some funny things from what he is talking and tease him till he keeps quiet. Everbody can write a whole story for Praku especially Shiv and Chimps. His favorite dialogues are "Ravi thalege yaradru soap haktaara ? and nanna mamana keltini kano"
His chori chori chupke chupke got into limelight when Ravi caught him near Maharani college. Recently he came father to his baby daughter and he is the first one to became father among our group. Shiv will soon follow him.. ..

Alol Crasta Aka Aane
Alol, the handsome dude, big tank of pranisangha is one of the favorite junior for all of us. I feel this guy was spending his most of the time with us than his batch mates. He is from kudla and did his Electrical and Engg from NIE. All of the group members had very nice time with Alol and ofcourse he was nice company to all. I am not sure Alol had been ragged by us. If so please share those moments. I am sure I was not ragging anybody.
Recently he overtaked all of us by tieing knot with his college friend. We all wish Alol a very happy married life.

its good that we have set up this blog, although i'm new to blogging i dunno how to upload pics and stuff like that.. but i would like all you prani's to contribute and share the memories of the golden era of our lives at NIE,

maybe somewhere down the years when we get old or when we are down and start feeling dejected . these sweet memories will cheer us up.
